What We Believe

If you are looking for a doctrinal statement spelling out all of the ins and outs of orthodoxy, you may be disappointed.

Simply put, we are followers of Jesus. We believe the whole of Scripture--Old and New Testaments--is summed up by, "Love God, love people." When someone asked Jesus which commandment was the greatest, He answered, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:34-39).

Everything we do at Cornerstone is intentionally designed to help us love God more intensely and love people more. Such love is simple, yet takes a lifetime to live it out.
